Scale partnered with Widmeyer Communications to create banner ads for the startup company CourseSmart. CourseSmart offers digital textbooks at about half the cost of a print textbook. CourseSmart needed to package this information succinctly for both students and parents and place the ads on various blogs, social networking and college-related sites.
Scale created two sets of banners for this campaign, one with simple animation and another with interactivity. The client reported that both ads resulted in click through rates significantly above industry averages. The interactive ad produced twice the response of the animation-only ad, surpassing the client's expectations of a successful campaign.
